As the founder and principal of Chicago Mandarin Chinese Center, known as the largest Chinese language and cultural learning center in downtown Chicago, I have taught over 3,000 business professionals/owners, executives, government officials, teachers, students and other individuals, since 2004. I am the author of 6 published books for learners to master Mandarin Chinese progressively. I provide customized learning courses for those who have special learning needs or who are interested in learning the language related to a particular industry. I also provide unique learning tools such as software, audio files and flashcards assisting my clients to learn Mandarin Chinese effectively and efficiently.
We have rich teaching resources in Mandarin Chinese and our Center has over 20 highly experienced native Chinese speakers with great passion in sharing their knowledge and expertise. We don't teach multiple languages like many other schools do. We only teach Mandarin Chinese as well as the culture, history and etiquette behind the language. Andy's introduction to Mandarin Chinese made the whole effort much less intimidating. There is no doubt that I entered the class with great trepidation, but I feel I made good progress in a short time. I look forward to learning more and getting more than just a toe wet. My only recommendations would be to have more exercises to work through in between classes. My style of learning requires that I write and rewrite to gain comprehension.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Chicago Mandarin Chinese Center, we provide high-quality book author-instructed Mandarin Chinese teaching programs at very competitive and affordable prices. Our pricing for each session (1.5 hours) could be as low as $20 for a group-setting class (with all learning materials included). For one-on-one private tutoring lessons, our rate could be as low as $40-$45/per hour. For repeat learners, we also offer a discount. Furthermore, we have special seasonal offers at different time of a year.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new customer shows interest in one of our Mandarin Chinese programs, we send the customer with comprehensive information such as course structure, focus, syllabus (including class schedule), offerings and pricing.
When the customer determines to attend that particular program, a short registration form will be sent so that the customer can submit it online.
We ship the text book to the customer and also email the Zoom Class Invite to the client.
The customer can make the tuition fee payment one day before the first lesson begins.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Teachers working at our center are all native Chinese speakers with multiple years of Mandarin Chinese teaching experience. We are dedicated to Mandarin Chinese language teaching as well as Chinese culture and business etiquette training.
