FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I feel that different projects can demand different pricing models -- when design exploration is a focus, an hourly rate is appropriate. At other times, a flat fee can be negotiated. One thing that is consistent is my commitment to meeting and exceeding my client expectations. My goal is to make happy clients that will refer me to others, so I will never leave you hanging!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start out by getting to know my client. Not just their current project, but their niche, things they like (or don't!) and their plans for the future. A project's design should consistent with my clients' brands, and knowing what projects may be on the horizon can help build a solid foundation with room to grow.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My undergraduate degree is from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana where I studied Industrial Design. I received my MBA in Marketing Management from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. I worked several years in the Trade Show industry designing booths and marketing. The bulk of my career has been in the events industry, including corporate and private special events, where I've designed room decor, signage, marketing collateral, floral decor, and even furniture. My unique background in so many facets of the industry gives me an edge in creating thoughtful, and successful, designs.
