Introduction: I am a 200-Hr Experienced Certified Yoga Instructor (E-RYT 200), Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with almost 5 years experience and over 1,200 teaching hours just for yoga (post-training). I offer private yoga lessons, as well as private meditation or guided breathing techniques (pranayama) sessions. Additionally, I'm certified in chair yoga and offer aquatic yoga as well for those with limited mobility or who are just starting out in yoga. I'm available to travel in the downtown Chicago area, giving you the option of the comfort & convenience of your own space in any of the fitness facilities/common areas in your apartment, condo building, workplace or hotel, OR I can provide the training site, my building in Streeterville where you can work out at a fully-equipped, brand new fitness facility, including a yoga studio and group exercise studio. I have taught group fitness classes (Yoga, Bootcamp, Total Body Conditioning, Spin) at several downtown high-rise residences (73 E. Lake, Axis Apartments & Lofts, The Streeter, 600 N. McClurg/333 E. Ontario, Jones, etc.) and I also have several private clients I work with in the downtown/Streeterville/Gold Coast area. I specialize in building lean and tone muscles, stretching/flexibility development, strength building through light weight training, body alignment awareness, posture enhancement and balance improvement. My job is to help you lose weight, tone up your muscles, and increase your cardiovascular endurance, all while reducing tension, increasing your range of motion and preventing injuries. I can design a tailored and personalized yoga practice for your individual body abilities to meet your specific needs and to help you attain your wellness goals, building on your strengths and focusing on your desired improvement areas, while taking into account any illness or injuries (previous and current) and both work around them, as well as help rehab them in their recovery period. I have overcome my own past injuries from my athletic career, and I have personal experience and understanding of how to properly strengthen the body after an injury and during recovery. My normal pricing is $75/hour for yoga private lessons. However, I offer a special for new clients: TWO 1-Hour Private Yoga Sessions for $100 to see if we are a good match for yoga practice before deciding on continuing. Discounts are given for purchases of 6, 10, 15, 30, or 40 sessions paid in advance. Please contact me for pricing on those packages. Additionally, I do semi-private yoga lessons for either 2, 3, or 4 people at a time, as well as large group (5-50 people) yoga and/or guided meditation & pranayama (breathing techniques) classes for special events (birthdays, bachelorette parties, etc.), hotels, high-rises for residents, businesses/corporate wellness for employees, etc. Please contact me for those rates, which have new client specials and session packages as well.

I love that Katie can guide me and my husband in our various levels of yoga: I’m a bit more advanced, as I've been doing yoga for years; my husband was a beginner (had taken one yoga class in his life) when we started taking lessons with Katie. She is able to accommodate each of our levels and make it both enjoyable and challenging for both of us. Katie has expanded our practice and we continue to learn from her. Her instructions are easy to follow and clear and she provides the right level of verbal instructions, adjustments, and demonstration. Overall, Katie has been a joy to work with!

Great yogi!!!!I had taken a class Katie gave in my last apartment building and enjoyed it a lot. So when I moved to a new building, I arranged some private lessons. She is very flexible about times, willing to do either early morning , afternoon or evening. If your building has a gym, she will come to your building, or have you come to her downtown location. Her prices are very reasonable, especially if one buys a package.Katie is extremely professional in her demeanor. She will question you about any medical problems or conditions that could possibly affect your exercise, and what your health goals may be. Then she will tailor your lesson accordingly (like work on core or arms). For me, that is primarily balance! Her yoga voice is very relaxing and calming. She is soft spoken, but loud enough to be heard over her chosen music. Her instructions are incredibly detailed and clear, important for a novice like me. She is very tough and will push her client (after all, it is what I paid her for). And she holds me accountable. I have seen her at the yoga room working with a few different clients when I was waiting got our lesson, and whether you are a newbie or a pro, she will get you to work hard and like yoga.
