Introduction: I started my education in a writing and performance background although I have been drawing and painting my whole life. When I moved to Chicago to perform comedy, I started a webcomic for fun that got me back into art and learning the craft in digital software, mainly Adobe. Because of my theatre background, I come to my art with a unique perspective that may be lost with designers who come straight from design school. I have had intimate connections with live audiences. I understand the immediacy of how humans react and feel in the moment they see my work, and I have applied that understanding to everything I do. All art is about telling a story, but with more experience in multiple mediums, I have developed additional insights to quickly and effectively reach my audience even in a single image or line of text.
I enjoy the creative process of solving problems for my clients: learning what they have in mind for their needs, contributing my own creative ideas and assets, and then collaborating to discover the best and often new solutions we could not have foreseen at the beginning. I have a passion for creating design that suits the tone and needs of the job, whether that is clean and professional or a fun and whimsical.
