FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Normally I charge by the hour except for special arrangements in occasional circumstances. Tutoring sessions, coaching, and interview coaching are all charged by the hour, in either one hour, two hour, or three hour sessions as needed by the client. For document editing I charge at a rate of 10 pages per hour. With resume editing I charge at a rate of 1 hour per draft, including any suggestions provided and any conversation we have (up to 60 minutes) regarding the resume draft.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always begin with a brief introductory conversation to get to know the client or student and their skills, needs and desires. I work with them to create a structured but flexible individually tailored plan to achieve their goal, whether in learning, interviewing, speaking or another goal. With clients seeking editing assistance, we discuss the objectives and progression of the task at hand, and I provide both edits and suggestions throughout the writing process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree from Yale University in Divinity (theology), and a bachelor's degree in political science. For the last five years I have served as a tutor to students of every age from elementary school to older adults on a wide range of subjects. My resume writing skills have opened the doors to Congress, Ivy-league universities, Vatican ambassadors and other high-level positions. As an interviewer, I have conducted more than 100 interviews across the government, non-profit, and private sectors. As a preacher and public speaker I have delivered addresses around the world to distinguished audiences, including in Italy, West Africa, and across the globe.
