Hired CMS to do a small sod installation job and then added two mulch beds once they came. Priced well and very prompt on giving estimates. Ran in to a couple problems once the project started and throughout. 1. Estimates for sod were considerably off. Understandable and explained that his coworker who did the estimates had since been removed from his team but.... we placed a second order and still came up short.. resulted in a 3rd order that was then too much. Ended up doubling the initial estimate. 2. The mulch beds came out pretty for the initial 2 weeks and then were OVERGROWN with weeds. Paid $400 for two mulch beds and they were done without any landscape fabric. 3. Very small operation and have since found multiple trash bags filled with debris, and MULTIPLE wheelbarrow loads of unusable dirt that needed to be cleaned up. In the end, the result wasn't horrible, but definitely overpaid for the outcome. Would probably not use again and in his defense, it seems as though his specialty is not landscape and rather hardscape.Aug 20, 2016Verified

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a military veteran and attention to detail shows through my work. I have certifications through belgard and techo-bloc paver companys. I have 20 plus yrs experience in landscape/ hardscape and carpentry work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work? The carpentry side of my work has been a family trait for many yrs. I believe in quality workmanship a sought after trait that is hard to come by these days. The landscape and hardacape work came while i was in the military i opened a small business and grew my knowledge and training through the years.
