FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an educator for Temptu Airbrush Makeup. I also TA for Corrective Beauty Application in Makeup Academies throughout Southern California. I attended a Empire Academy of Makeup in 2003/2004. I also have been trained by numerous Event Hairstylists. I make sure to continue my education annually by taking courses in hair & makeup that are prevalent with changing techniques& trends, and to stay relevant with changing technology and cosmetic formulations.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been doing Hairstyling and Makeup for 14 yrs in the Entertainment & Bridal Industries. I knew at a young age I wanted to be a hair & makeup artist. I decided to go to a Makeup Academy (spent $20k and 8months) there and landed as an assistant to a Makeup Artist in the Entertainment Industry doing Red Carpets and fashion. A few years later I decided to open my Bridal Business. I love both bridal & Entertainment so I feel fortunate to get to do both!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
After your wedding day is over, you are left with the photos and memories of how you looked and felt that day. It is important to look and feel your best on one of the most memorable days of your life- even if you do not “wear a lot of makeup”.
