FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Material is normally a constant in building so when pricing jobs I assess this was in many cases.. sum of estimated man hours and material. Rocket science does not apply here :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Starting off with a new client priority one is to establish a clear line of communication. Messaging via Thumbtack is great and as a self marketing tool I cant speak highly enough to the application however, once contact has been established, I have often made the transition to an easier and more common method of communicating such as text messaging and/or email. The Client and myself will review the project and come up with a proposal that is aggreable and move forward from their.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was conditioned for labor at a very early age being the son and step son of two very talented builders and also being the great grandson of a mason; it was thick in the bloodline. I spent some time at college where I studied business and Spanish both lending to my work today. I took advantage of traveling abroad to Chile, South America while studying at Oregon State, while abroad fully immersing myself into a family and the culture of Chile. During this I know that I was able to learn how to deal with situations that one would not be so comfortable with. It is a right of passage in learning about yourself and how people respond to you when in a corner. Many positive lessons came from my travels through South America that I can say lend to how I deal with people in my professional and personal life.
