- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Whenever possible, I try to quote a fixed fee. However, taxes are complicated, and I often require more information to ensure that I am charging the correct amount for my services. Fees are driven by my time and expense necessary to produce the product/service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually set a time for a call with a new customer so that we can discuss their current situation in detail. After the conversation, I describe how best to move forward with the service (ie provide recommendations, review fees, or discuss if more information is needed). Once we are comfortable with the agreement, we begin the service.
