- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to meet with the customer in person first to discuss their goals and objectives. We then create a quote tailored to the points and objectives covered during the pre bid meeting. Once pricing and construction schedule is agreed upon a contract is signed between the Client and Backus Builders and the project commences.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-I am a California licensed General Contractor Lic # 1009156 -I have over 14 years of commercial construction experience. I've estimated and been responsible for budgets between $10k and 2,000,000. -Multiple certifications including: project management, estimating, and scheduling.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a 3rd generation contractor. I spent the 12 years prior to starting Backus Builders working for one of California's largest commercial construction companies managing commercial retail and restaurant renovation as well as new construction.
