FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with an initial assessment. During the initial assessment I question the client on health markers to determine if they are healthy enough to undergo physical testing or if they need to see a doctor to be cleared. From here I test muscle imbalances, mobility, flexibility, strength, endurance, body fat, and body measurements. I then go over client's goals and timeframe and help them understand attainable goal planning and how to reach this goal in a safe and healthy manner. I also go over nutritional planning and a well-balanced diet to help achieve these goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a trainer since 2012. I have my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a Minor in Nutrition from MSU Denver. My certifications include, ACSM - Certified Personal Trainer, ACSM - Exercise Physiologist, NASM - Performance Enhancement Specialist, NASM - Corrective Exercise Specialist, and NASM - Fitness Nutrition Specialist.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been an athlete my whole life. I've always wanted to help people and give back. I originally started college going into med school, but I felt that a lot of issues in the medical field and with people's health could be prevented by being proactive in both exercise and diet. I want to be able to help people with lifestyle choices to live a healthier and more fulfilling life.
