FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a client informs me that they want to receive treatment, we schedule an appointment for the intake. The intake is where I do a thorough assessment of the client's history, relationships, and other areas of life that may have led up to the issue at hand. This is also the session where all the necessary paperwork is filled out and we develop goals for treatment. After that, we start treatment by scheduling weekly sessions based on the best day/time for the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have counseled people in private practice, hospital, group home, and prison settings. In addition to providing counseling to couples/parents/family units, I have provided individual counseling to children, teens, and young/middle aged adults. I have provided group therapy to clients on several topics including parenting, relapse prevention, substance abuse education, anger management, criminal addictive thinking, family violence, and more.
