Introduction: Responsibilities include: Being a clinical and administrative supervisor. Training and educating staff regarding job duties and effective interventions based on diagnoses and symptomology. Facilitation of the Person Centered Planning process for rehabilitative services which includes the active involvement of the recipient and others identified as important in the recipient's life. Initial development, implementation, and ongoing revision of the Person Centered Plan for rehabilitative services. Monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of interventions as evidenced by symptom reduction and progress toward goals identified in the Person Centered Plan for rehabilitative services. Coordination and oversight of initial and ongoing assessment activities. Ensuring linkage to the most clinically appropriate and effective rehabilitative services. Additionally conducts clinical assessment and evaluation of consumers that report in a crisis to a variety of community settings including magistrate’s office, community sites, and Freedom House service areas in crisis and provides mobile services in community settings. I am also comfortable with the authority and evaluative functions inherent in the supervisor role, and give clear and frequent indications of my evaluation of the counselor's performance. I can effectively employ a variety of supervision interventions, and deliberately choose from these interventions based on my assessment of a supervisee's learning needs, learning style, and personal characteristics. I seek ongoing growth in counseling and supervision through continuing education activities, self-evaluation, and feedback from supervisees, clients, other supervisors, and colleagues. I also have the professional skills of a good teacher and good consultant. In fact, I am able to function effectively in the roles of teacher, counselor, and consultant, making informed choices about which role to employ at any given time with a particular supervisee.
