- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started back when I was 15 and first hooked up my first home theater system. Since I’ve been gradually learning and teaching myself. I got into the field as a career 4 years ago and now I help run Genius Sound & Security.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently hung a 75" 4K TV over a stone fireplace and hooked a complete sonos 5.1 surround sound system to go with it. Overall the mounting and setup took about 2 1/2 hours. We mounted the sonos playbar to the bottom of the TV so we didn't need to fish in any wires.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you feel comfortable with them, even over the phone. Make sure they have your type of job before and feel free to ask for pictures of past projects.
