FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a rule of thumb I charge $45 for 30min. Extra charges apply for esthetics, but I offer many discounts like loyalty, referral and package savings.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer has to fill out online paperwork either at home or at my office. I will ask any questions I still have and try to get to know the client to find out what he wants and what kind of treatment would be best for him and to find out any contradictions for massage or facials. Each customer is encouraged to allow enough time before booking to fill out the paperwork and time for me to read through it. If you need to fill it out at the office, allow 30 extra minutes. Because I do medical massage, working together with insurance claims or doctors, or clients with multiple health issues, I need to know the medical condition of each client. Generally a woman in her 1st trimester, active cancer patients are considered contraindicated for massage. People taking any kind of blood thinners or certain pain medication or cortisone are restricted to Swedish or lymph drainage unless otherwise cleared by a physician. Any recent surgeries might need prior doctor approval as well. So always talk to your therapist beforehand to find out if you need a doctors note and be thorough and honest when filling out your paperwork.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Regular Esthetician training at Bellus Academy. Advanced massage program, double the regular time. Advanced Esthetics continued education for 3 weeks plus different 1 day seminars.
