Introduction: I am an avid animal-lover with extensive experience caring for and handling large and small pets of all kinds. I offer pet training and pet sitting/pet care services.
Pet Training:
I have trained dogs of all sizes, breeds and ages for over 10 years professionally, personally and for rescue organizations. I work with clients on a variety of training objectives including: puppy manners and socialization, housebreaking, basic manners (jumping, nipping, barking/whining, chewing, digging, etc.), beginner through advanced level obedience, leash walking, tricks, Canine Good Citizen Certifications, and behavior modification (aggression, anxiety, hyperactivity).
I practice positive reinforcement methods that are proven to drive willing compliance while strengthening the bond between human and pet. You and your dog are trained through consistency, structure and fun so your dog will choose to behave/perform reliably because he/she wants to, not out of fear or anxiety.
The training program and lesson format is completely tailored to your specific goals, needs and schedule in order to be the most effective. I utilize a combination of in-home lessons and excursion sessions to other locations (when appropriate) in order to build and drive compliance in different environments and with different levels of distractions. Lessons can be conducted with you present and/or via Day Training sessions where I exercise and work with your dog one-on-one.
Pet Sitting:
Additionally, I offer pet care and pet sitting services. I limit the number of clients I accept at a time in order to guarantee the best possible care and attention while you are away. From fish to birds, Guinea pigs to potbellied pigs, dogs, cats and more, you can rest assured that your pets are in great hands.
Pet sitting services can include feeding, exercise/play, walking/handling, administering medications, basic grooming (bath, nail trim, brushing, ear cleaning) and waste cleanup. Day visits and overnight stays available.
Service bundles are available.
The key to happiness is to do what you love and love what you do. I have found my dream job and absolutely love what I do.
Animals have been a life-long passion, and the thrill of seeing a pet parent and pet connect through training is a privilege and a true pleasure of mine. I have trained hundreds of dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes and don't think I will ever get enough of it!
Additionally, there can be stress on both parent and pet when boarding in a kennel while you travel. By allowing pets to stay in a home, maintaining their normal routines, I am able to help bring peace of mind while you are away for work or play.
