Brian did an excellent job turning my old would shop into a supremely comfortable tiny house. He was sensitive to my budget constraints, was speedy, and did it all without compromising quality. I could not be more pleased! I intend to hire Brian this spring to hang new siding on my house. His ethics are unquestionable in the quality of his work is above reproach.

Super reliable and does a great job. Brian was a pleasure to work with. I had a newborn baby and Brian was efficient, timely, hardworking and very considerate. He would give me a heads up if things were going to be noisy but was independent and did the project as quickly as possible (while still paying attention to detail). The pergola he built is beautiful, so I asked him to also install a window and he was here two days later with it finished.

We had an idea for a fence around our raised bed garden but Brian brought his creative and carpentry skills to make it a reality. It turned out to be not just functional - to keep out the deer - but a beautiful addition to our outdoor living space. He and his assistant were courteous, hard-working, and professional.

Hired on Thumbtack

After attempting to work with multiple (disappointing) contractors, I somehow stumbled upon Thumbtack and was matched with Brian for a project. My husband and I were trying to get new flooring put in and remove a closet before we moved into our new home, as well as multiple other projects to be done later, such as refinishing our deck and bringing it up to code, fixing some posts under the house, redoing bathrooms, and some kitchen cabinet work. Brian responded to my project proposal on Thumbtack almost immediately. Literally one or two minutes after it had posted, he sent me a message. We spoke on the phone and he was very professional and polite. He agreed to go take a look at our house right away and send us a bid. When Brian says he will contact you, he does. He often gets written estimates to us the same day we discuss a project. If you aren’t home, he will send you picture updates on his work. He is professional, friendly, and is very reasonably priced. It’s a pleasure to have him working for us and we couldn’t be happier that we hired him. A list of things Brian has done for us: *Removed old carpet, Installed Pergo laminate throughout house *Kitchen cabinet modifications to fit new appliances *Removed closet, put up drywall and finished/painted *Replaced drywall, framing, insulation, siding, trim, etc., in a wall that was wet and ruined from a leak in the roof *Refinished deck, bringing it up to code, adding a gate; replacing stairs in yard *Is currently remodeling our bathroom *Will soon repair the post and beams under the house I would highly recommend Brian for any work you are thinking of having done. It’s a pleasure to have him around and his work is top notch!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is straight forward. We do not charge for estimates, we only charge for the work you've contracted with us. Other factors that dictate the actual job cost are: duration of the project, types of materials, and location of the worksite.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically discuss the project over the phone first. A second meeting at the worksite allows us to see the project in person and evaluate the needs of the project. A written estimate is then generated and emailed to you for your review.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated college from the State University of New York with degrees in Sports Education and Business. I have many years experience facilitating experiential education programs as well as a carpentry apprenticeship.
