- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Project costs can vary significantly. My hourly rate range is $40 to $50 per hour with 4 hour minimum. Time spent researching and shopping for material is charged on an hourly basis and can be part of the 4 hour min. I can also provide flat pricing contracts for larger projects based on the scope, complexity and duration of the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to provide a consultation to the potential client to get a better idea of the scope of work, material and approximate labor costs. The consultation also provides the opportunity to meet and take other 'non-project' aspects into consideration. I feel it is very important for the parties to feel comfortable with each other and be able to set expectations ahead of time. I will then provide notes of the consultation and a high level range estimate. If a line item detail is required, one can be provided at the base 4 hour minimum rate, which will then be credited towards the invoice, if I am contracted.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BBA in Accounting, an MBA in Business Administration and over 25 years experience in landscaping, interior decorating/design and staging. I have 9 years of renovating/updating home interiors.
