Introduction: 363photography is made up of a duo - Scott Bannick and Liz Melahn. Our company name stems from that partnership as well as a shared love of baseball. In baseball, there are many types of double plays, including a "3-6-3" which is recorded on a scorecard to indicate that outs were made by a combined effort of the first basemen (3) and shortstop (6). We strive to work as seamlessly together when taking photographs for you as players on the ball field executing this play.
Colorado natives, we reside in Fort Collins, Colorado, where we spend as much time as possible outside in the sunshine - hiking, riding the SUP, playing with our dog (Chauncey), biking, skiing, exploring breweries, playing frisbee, traveling the world, running, building things, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and - of course - enjoying many baseball games.
Scott grew up in Loveland, stands at a towering 5'5" and sometimes blinds people with his shining head. He does not function well without coffee, drives a silver truck, loves stouts and IPAs, and will never turn down a plate of enchiladas. Scott spends his days working at a motorcycle (read: dirt bike) shop in Loveland, where he enjoys helping people buy, fix, and accessories to their "toys." While in high school, Scott began his photography adventure with a class and film. Immediately, he was hooked. Over the past 10+ years, Scott has worked as a professional photographer, taking a break only to complete his B.A. in Criminal Justice at the University of Northern Colorado (go Bears!). His technical skills behind the camera as well as when editing are excellent and he works hard to produce photographs people fall in love with.
Liz, known often as Lizard, grew up in Colorado Springs and stands at a less threatening 5'4". She would eat macaroni and cheese daily if that was an "adult appropriate" option, adores humpback whales, teaches high school social studies, and works at a local brewery. Constantly wearing something purple, Liz can be spotted climbing things, playing the ukulele, or knee-deep in history books. She graduated from Colorado State University (go Rams!) with a B.A. in History and is currently pursuing her M.A. in United States History through the Gilder Lehrman Institute. Her passion for photography was awakened when she bought her first SLR (read: "big camera") when working on a project for her students. Since that time, she has not put the camera down, but instead, started to take the camera everywhere.
While shooting, we like to have fun and make you feel as comfortable as possible. Although we have distinct photographic personalities, we believe that our styles could both be described as clean and photo journalistic and we believe they blend well together. Working as a duo allows us to capture moments from different angles and with different lenses as often as possible, thus providing a varied and unique product for our clients. We love working behind the lens and sharing our passion with others!
Please let us know if you have any questions about anything you see here ... and GO ROCKIES!
We love working with clients and providing photos that they will absolutely love. The best part of photography is that it gives us the ability to make people happy. There is simply no better feeling than seeing a client's face light up when they see their photos for the first time. Photography is more than knowing how to take photos or having expensive equipment. Photography is about connecting with people and helping them create images that convey the joy hand happiness in their lives.
