FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard Pricing is: $95 for a 90-minute massage and $75 for a 1-hour massage. However, current promotions for first-time customers are $20 off a 90-minute massage and $10 off a 1-hour massage. My preference is to provide 90-minute massages because, I believe, limiting a massage session to a particular number of minutes does not necessarily allow time to address issues occurring within a body. If you and I both have ample time to run over the allotted 90 minutes, a more complete session can be achieved (keeping in mind that one doesn't need to be overworked, either). And...there are rarely complaints if a session runs over time. :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The new client process includes the completion of an intake form and an important conversation between the two of us to ascertain a mutual understanding of the customer's needs ard preferences. Is there a specific health issue or pain pattern that needs to be addressed? Are there pre-existing conditions? Is the customer in need of deep relaxation and a "floating" experience for stress reduction and time out from a busy schedule? Possibly, a combination of pain relief and relaxation would provide the perfect blend of therapy. I strive to provide a therapeutic massage that meets each customer's specific needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Massage Therapy Certification in 1994. Since that time, I have received my certification in the St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy and Certification in Lymphedema Therapy. Additionally, I've taken numerous classes in kinesiology, gross human anatomy, reiki, and this March will begin courses towards certification in Cranio-Sacral Therapy. I've been interested in health and wellness for a long time and received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Colorado State University in Dietetics within the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. Classes within that program included Anatomy, Physiology, and Boichemistry.
