FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All cases my firm takes on a contingency fee basis. Meaning, it doesn't not cost you a dollar to hire us and we spend all of our own funds to finance the case. If and when we are able to make a recovery, we are entitled to get our cost money back as well as a percentage under Florida law to cover our fees. If we aren't able to make a recovery, you owe us nothing!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak with potential clients over the phone so they understand their options before diving into a claim or lawsuit. People often say they wish their lawyer would have told them _____, I strive to avoid that scenario. After speaking over the phone or in person, if the potential client decides to retain my firm, that's when we go over the paperwork. We can meet in my office or at a different location more convenient for them. While the client treats and gets better, we gather all of the information and institute the claims process.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
All through law school and for a period time afterwards, i clerked and worked at one of Florida's top insurance defense firms where I gained invaluable experience defending the very claims that I now help people bring. Having the experience of working for the insurance companies gives me a unique perspective on cases that often assists in my analysis with clients.
