FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on these factors: Time on the job (including post-production), size of shoot (is it a simple headshot session or is it a multiple light location shoot that requires me to hire assistants). Some people tend to think they are paying somebody to take their pictures and how tough is that? Well, depending on your type of shoot, there can be a lot of pre-planning, permitting in some cases, the shoot itself with assistants and maybe a make-up artist, the editing afterward, etc. It can take a lot of time and all that has to factor into the pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to find out as much as I can about what the client needs and wants for their shoot. We will make suggestions and share ideas. I want the client to have as much input as possible so that we can collaborate and create images they will be happy with.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Q&A What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? Consumers need to be aware of the fact that the digital age has spawned a lot of "photographers" who's only qualification is that they have the money to buy a nice camera. Beautiful photography is a result of combining lighting, art, composition and techniques that are acquired through years of experience and study. Remember, photographs are things that will last a lifetime. What types of customers have you worked with? I love weddings! It gives me a chance to be creative and play an important part in making the bride & groom's big day something they can remember throughout their lives. I also do quite a bit of photography work for businesses for their web sites, brochures & advertising. Executive, Modeling and Acting head shots are another area that I am very enthusiastic about.
