Introduction: For over 15 years, I have used my passion of fitness to help people achieve results and keep them. I established Y Fit Fitness Training in January 2007. The “Y” represents “You.” Since my philosophy is geared towards an individual's goals to get the best results, your nutrition, resistance training, and cardiovascular program need to be built based on your needs and not a one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter program. Y Fit is an independent personal training business that trains clients where they want to be trained, in their home, in the gym, or in our training studio. We also offer online consultations and programs. As a fitness professional, it is critical to lead by example. My motto is this: There is no finish line in fitness. It is a lifestyle; it is about being committed to yourself and your goals, no matter what they may be. It is about moderation and overcoming the daily struggles and striving to achieve a balance between a healthy body, mind, and spirit. I live by the "Define, Learn, Do" principle--define your dream, learn what you need to do to get there, and do whatever it takes to reach your goals. With every new client brings a new adventure. I love being able to use fitness as a way to help people to make a difference for positive change in their lives.

Well where do i start.... you simply will not find a more dedicated, knowledgeable, intelligent, but most importantly EXPERIENCED trainer like Jess. over the years i've worked with a few guys prior to him, and ultimately wrote them all off. fast forward a few years and i casually talked with Jess off and on about working out and then nutrition, then i decided i'd give him a shot after seeing how unbelievably passionate he is about fitness- best decision i've made. let's start with diet.... he does a fantastic job at explaining the madness called nutrition, i have yet to ever listen to anyone that even remotely compares to Jess' knowledge on this subject- he is truly a mad scientist with it. if you follow his guidelines the way he explains it and are CONSISTENT like he preaches, you will be blown away at what he helps you do here. supplement questions (since this market is crazy)? yeah, he knows 'em well; that being said he will also save you a pile of money by steering you clear of the BS in that industry. but bro, do you even lift? many trainers out there are extremely fake, in many facets of the word; most are smart-sounding talkers, some are just your typical large meat-head with just a ridiculous amount of non-functioning muscle- cool, good for them. look at Jess' pics from his football days and competition shots, everything he preaches on lifts and how-to are from his experiences; and he quite clearly knows his stuff when it comes to moving some weight. to top it all off, he knows how to combine nutrition with working out to get ANY result that you are after. bulking up, losing weight, leaning, aesthetic looks? the mad scientist can do 'em all. he is thee master at learning you and transforming you into what YOU want. after just the first three weeks of working with him, i knew i found my guy. i've worked with Jess very exclusively for over a year now and i cannot say enough good about this man as a trainer, nutritionist, and just being an all around great guy (ask him about the Vet organizations he's very actively involved with)- Jess, i can't tell you enough but thanks again man!

I met Jess at the Gym in 2009 and that day changed my life forever. After being in an accident and having 4 surgeries on my hip, I really struggled to get the range of motion and strength back in my legs. For 10 years I tried different Doctors and PT and got the same answers, more surgery. I did not want to be cut open again. Jess approached me and suggested some functional training exercises to help with my flexibility and motion, within a week my legs began to feel different and muscles that hadn't been worked for years started to "come back to life". The exercises Jess instructed me to do made me look like a fool at the Gym, but I was feeling the results and really didn't care about all the stares I got from the other members during my odd workouts. Two weeks later I sat down with Jess for a consultation and made the choice to work with Jess full time. During the consultation Jess was honest and told me that he didn't know if he could help me recover fully but he would do his best. Jess had a full client load at that time and the more I was at the gym, I noticed that I was his only client doing these odd exercises that made everyone stop and stare. I noticed also I was his only client that he opened an anatomy book for to create some crazy functional training exercise. A truly customized workout is what he was giving me. When you start seeing results it only pushes you to achieve more. I could go on and on about Jess but the simple fact is he saved my life by giving me the tools to accomplish my goals and change my life. For the knowledge you have given me, I’m forever in your debt my brother.

I had battled my weight for the majority of my life since childhood. When I was pregnant with my second child I would watch Jess in the gym working with other people and getting amazing results. I made a promise to myself that once I was able, I was going to commit to working with him in hopes of losing the weight and feeling amazing. One day I watched Jess training and I got the courage to go up to him and tell him my commitment. He smiled and said "no problem...I'll get you there!" I had worked out my entire adult life and spent many hours in the gym on a regular basis, so I was no stranger to working hard. One of the first things Jess told me when I first started working out with him was to work smarter, not harder... It seemed too good to be true! Although I had trouble believing him fully, deep inside, I desperately wanted the results he was confident I could have, so I dove head first!!! From day one, I was 100% committed to whatever Jess told me and, to my surprise I dropped from a size 10 down to a size 4 in 2 1/2 months. I continued to work with Jess and was able to tone my body in a way I never thought possible. Jess has taught me about nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle so I have been able to maintain my results for the past 8 1/2 years, even after having another child. If you are struggling, feeling hopeless, embarrassed, or believe you have tried everything, I would urge you to commit and trust the process. I have no doubt that Jess can help you achieve results beyond your expectations!!! He's changed my life!!!!

Jess Maney! I first met Jess through a friend that competed in figure bodybuilding shows. I somehow decided to compete myself and the journey and friendship between Jess and I begun. I had NO IDEA what I was getting into! But my love for fitness and my competitive spirit drove me to fulfill my goal. Not to mention the support and energy and dedication Jess put into my success. I didn't realize the potential I had until Jess showed me and believed in me. This story is deeper then just Jess helping me accomplish a fitness goal, Jess is also an amazing person who is a mentor and friend to me today. He showed me more than how to work hard in a gym or how to live a healthy life... He showed me a love and passion that I still share with him today and now an occupation that I try to be half as good at as Jess. I recommend and believe that if you want to be successful in living a healthy life Jess is the guy for you, if not for his knowledge of fitness... Then for his love and dedication he will give and provide in making you a better you!

Jess is the most hardworking, knowledgeable and patient trainer you could ask for. As a busy, working mom of two, I could come up with endless excuses as to why I "can't" reach my fitness and nutrition goals. Jess wouldn't let me do it. He knew I had it in me to succeed. He equipped me with the tools, knowledge and support necessary to reach the results I desired. After my first baby, his coaching and encouragement helped me drop over 30 lbs and three pants sizes. He's the perfect balance of patience and understanding with the necessary amount of "tough love" it takes to get where you want to be. He's the best!
