- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically price per piece or per slice. Some things I will require a minimum for. (For instance, cakepops are sold by the dozen)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I will ask many questions about what they are looking for. Do they have pictures of things they are interested in? Are they flexible on the decorations? When will tbey be needing this order? Will it be delivered or picked up? What flavors are they interested in? Will there be a filling (cakes/cupcakes)? etc. Once all the questions are answered I will have an accurate price to quote!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been baking for over 13 years! It started with a one-time cake decorating class, then I began working in my own kitchen! I have worked for a bakery, in the past, for two years; I do believe it helped me in realizing that I truly enjoy the creativity that cake decorating brings!
