Math Tutor Brigette

I have a masters in mathematics and have been teaching for 10 years. I am very passionate about the subject. I am a certified math teacher in Illinois and have taught high school pre-algebra, algebra I, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, college algebra and AP calculus. I also have taught a few years of college so I also have an understanding of the skills necessary in math for the student entering college. I am looking forward to working with you or your student and helping math grow as a joy and not a burden. Every child can learn math, just sometimes they don't learn it the way the teacher wants to teach it. I love opening the eyes of students who have struggled with math. I have taught high school and college and have over 10 years experience. I thoroughly enjoy challenging students, both in the classroom and one-on-one, to stretch their beliefs about math and help them find their path to the answer. I have also had the privilege of tutoring for a number of years and I find that tutoring gives me the ability to work one-on-one with a student and help them achieve greater success where they were struggling before. I truly believe that all students can have a better understanding of math and find success. Math is about confidence building and it my goal to have students increase their confidence so they can work to their full potential.
