FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm honest about pricing to a fault. If I quote a project and it takes less time than anticipated, I charge less. I'd rather have trust, a great review, and referrals than a couple extra dollars. Trust and honesty always pays in the long run
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was 17 my friend got me a job working for American Deck Maintenance. Powerwashing, Staining, and Sealing Decks. I loved having a job where you can see your progress. Taking an old, beat up deck, stripping it down, and re-finishing it with high quality products was always very enjoyable to me.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I love doing cabinets. It's a great way for a customer to transform their kitchen or bathroom and it's the ultimate test for a painter. If you skip, or slack, on any steps in the process, then your work will not last, and your reputation as a painter will die quick. Cabinets (and staircase railings) see the utmost wear, and therefore need the utmost care when it comes to product and process.
