Everything went well Adam did an amazing job DJing our Big Brothers/Big Sisters Fashion show. His style was unique and dynamic, making it different from any other DJ we've used before.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price for the service would be based on the needs, distance to the location, hours needed and number of participants. Since there are a verity of services I offer I would need to know more specifics to give details.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The goal is to keep all aspects of the service clear, easy and as enjoyable as possible. First step is to speak with the new customer either through phone conversation or email. If through email, then the phone conversation would be needed as well. The more details, concerns and expectations should be covered as soon as possible. When everything is decided it is best to have a final email with the contract detailed sent and returned before the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from California State University, Long Beach. I have over twenty years of theatre experience and performance throughout the United States and have been trained in acting techniques such as Presentational and Representational acting (including Experimental Theatre), GOTE (Goal, Obstacle, Tactics, and Expectation), Improvisational Theatre, Method Acting, Psycho-physical Awareness and Physical Theatre as well as Oral Interpretation, Staged Readings, Reader's Theatre and Choreography. I have written scripts and music as well as voiced media projects for over ten years. As an emcee I have hosted orchestra concerts, special events, holiday events and ceremonies. I have also given lectures and spoke at workshops and national conferences. I am also a composer and creative adviser as well.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first worked as a performer while in my teens performing in stage plays and musicals. I have continued to work as performer and gained public speaking experience as well as performance training through California State University, Long Beach and surrounding theatre and media companies. I have continued to perform, present and create since.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages, children to senior citizens which include all levels education and knowledge. I have worked with business and professionals as well as community groups. It's never about the the material, but about adapting the material for the group or audience that is the most important.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently conducted a workshop for film students to learn acting techniques that help them better understand the acting process and how to gain the most from the actor. In this two day workshop I had them work on improv and emotional awareness techniques help them gain the awareness and experience. Each workshop was two hours long for two days.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are looking for an emcee, host, announcer, presenter, speaker or officiate the most important quality to make sure he or she is making the event and the participants the most important. If he or she makes it about him or herself or abilities then the event will not be a success.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What is the particular event (ceremony, activity, etc.) and what is the need for the professional? How will the professional give the event what is needed? The participants or target audience for the event? What is the budget and what is expected for the given budget? What is the length of time the professional will be needed? What is the location and what is needed for the professional to have or request?
