Alderman Myofascial Therapy
About this pro
He did a great job. He listened to me and my needs. I will definitely be backJun 17, 2017Verified
I have been looking for a massage therapist to help me with pain relief from chronic back pain for years! Most therapist offer the basic Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, etc. massage services. Some would help for a short time, but none have have ever offered long lasting results. Roy discussed my past injuries, surgeries and my chronic pain in great detail before starting our session. He encouraged collaboration to achieve maximum results. I would highly recommend Roy at Alderman Myofascial Therapy!Dec 14, 2016Verified
Roy is a true professional. He's so much more than a typical massage therapist. He easily explained the muscles involved in the areas of discomfort. He really listened to me before starting the session and gave relief in first session, though I will definitely return very soon.Oct 16, 2016Verified
If I could afford it, I'd go every week.Dec 7, 2016Verified
Roy has provided pain relief and range of motion when no one else could. He knows what he is doing, does it expertly and he is always courteous and professional.Sep 10, 2016

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Every client is treated as an individual. After the client fills out the Health History Form I will ask them about the nature of their pain. I will ask what movements increase or decrease the pain as well as work habits that may be contributing to their condition. Once enough information is gathered to determine what muscle groups are involved we will begin the process to ease their pain and help restore optimal function/movement.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I trained at the Body Therapy Institute in Silk Hope, NC - it is one of the most highly regarded MT schools in the State. I have an additional 100+ hours of continuing education - most of which is focused on pain management through deep tissue and Myofascial massage. I also have close to nine years experience in the field of pain relief.
