FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Current hourly rate is $125. I charge by the hour, billing in 1/4 hour increments. Initially, designer fees must be paid before approved artwork is released for production. Once established as a client, invoices are sent after final artwork is approved with 15-30 days allowed for payment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I listen to the client's desires and then ask questions. Only once I understand the client's business and goals do I start to create anything to show them. Working together with clients enables me to get to a solution close to approval faster than just throwing out ideas they may/may not like. My process is more collaborative. I insist on final copy, photographs and logos coming to me at one time rather than piece by piece. This ultimately saves time on design (and redesign), and saves money for my clients in the end.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My degree in Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from W&M, plus design-related courses, an Agency internship and working for a local printer prepared me to creatively execute visual communications solutions for real-world organizations. Over 20 years of working in this field supports my reputation.
