FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Payroll is priced at a flat monthly fee ranging from $55/mo - $500/mo based on the number of employees, frequency of payroll, and method of delivery. Bookkeeping is priced at a flat monthly fee ranging from $150/mo - $1,000/mo based on the individual client and we tailor the pricing to the volume of business being transacted and the particular services needed. Tax returns are priced per form and start at $125 for individual returns and $250 for business returns. The price goes up from there depending on what forms are needed, the complexity of the return, whether we need to compile receipts, and whether any tax research is necessary. My standard hourly rate is $125/hour for all other work, including tax debt resolution.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first hour of the initial consultation is free. We schedule an appointment in the office, discuss the new customer's needs, determine if any additional information is needed, and provide an engagement letter upon hire.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a Bachelor's degree in economics from Bucknell University, graduated 3rd in myclass and 1st in my degree and major. Upon graduation, I received the Gretzinger Prize for academic achievement by an economics major and the J. Orin Oliphant Prize for the highest academic standing in the College of Arts and Sciences. I was also the President and Founder of the Bucknell chapter of the Phi Sigma Pi honor fraternity and a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. I began my career as an accountant in the Philadelphia office of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1997. I passed all four parts of the CPA board exam in November 1997 and currently hold an active CPA license. Approximately 10% of currently licensed CPAs pass all four parts of the exam the first time they take it. I was promoted early and spent approximately 4 years sharpening my skills as a taxation and small business specialist. I had held various corporate accounting and finance positions with companies like Trans World Entertainment and Highmark. I opened my own tax and accounting practice in 2011, and have grown from being a part time solo practitioner to a full time busy practice with a staff of two. I am active in a number of professional organizations including a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Treasurer for the African American Chamber of Commerce, and Board Member for the Latino Connection's Latino Ball.
