- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is to have an initial evaluation meeting, in person if possible, where coaching goals, style, and frequency are determined. From there the coaching generally looks like 1 or 2: 15-30 minute calls per week. Billing is done monthly based on the total time spent on calls.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In the past 7 years I've attended several workshops about communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, vision and goal setting, and emotional intelligence as well as been involved with different kinds of therapy and independent study on topics such as sexuality, meditation, mindfulness, life balance, and habits for success.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
This started out as a personal journey as I have a long history of depression and anxiety. The biggest turn from self-improvement to helping others came after I realized that what I learned in a workshop by The Gestalt Institute for couples gave me the conflict resolution skills to save my job. After this I realized that there was just a better way to navigate through life and I have a gift for being able to share that with others.
