FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard hourly price is $290 and it includes post-processing and travel within the Honolulu area. For different projects, the price is altered in either direction based on the complexity of the work and demand/supply equation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to LEARN AS MUCH AS I CAN about the subject and the style of photography that speaks to you most. When I work with couples or families, I'd like to go way beyond portraying nice people in a technically perfect frame, but to show the relationship as well as to provide fun and effortless experience during the photo-shoot. When I work with commercial clients, I like to get all the information about the subject and the intended use of the professional pictures to be able to tell the message about your property or product you intend to communicate to your clients. My motto for my photography is SIMPLE * FUN * CREATIVE.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I don’t have a formal photography education, but I was lucky to be accepted and allowed to work with one of the top Atlanta wedding photographers at the time, Craig Willes, from 2006 to 2008. In 2010, I had the opportunity to train in Philadelphia with Cliff Mautner, who was named among the top ten wedding photographers in the World by American Photo Magazine. I also like to take part in industry trade shows with rich educational programs like Imaging USA or WPPI conventions, and various workshops. I might be spending too much time watching the best photographers teaching folks on Creative Live.
