- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $70/hr, which is commensurate with my skillset, experience and service. I do offer preferred customer rates if we are a good fit and agree on a monthly maintenance program or retainer agreement.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with collecting as much info as possible. In person, Skype or on the phone is great for acknowledging one another's humanity. But writing works too. We go from there. It all depends on the project. But I'm big on communication at many points throughout the process. I always go the extra mile to make sure my clients are satisfied
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. from Luther College in English and Political Science. This gave me strong writing and critical thinking skills. My post-collegiate experience was mainly in small business management. In 2013, I initiated a successful career change and started doing writing, design and website work for small businesses and individuals. I am self-taught but am obsessed with my craft and have spent thousands of hours learning and doing. I'm continually honing my skills, adding to my knowledge base, and keeping up in trends and best practices.
