FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All work varies by many different circumstances. Flooring for example: Will the product be floating or glue down, ceramic/porcelain, or stone. Is there a pattern or a grid pattern. What material are we replacing. Are we tearing out the existing material. Will we provide new material or will it be at the job site. Designing a room: Will we painting the space. Will there be existing furniture to consider, collectibles, art and accessories to protect. Is it a one story or two, trim to repair. This is just a couple of variables to consider prior to quoting. I like to be well informed as to what are the conditions, requirements, and expectations for the project so that I can give a solid quote and not one to fish you in. I stand by my quotes and therefore require the client to give me as much information as possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process is to meet with the client. Listen to all that they envision, wants, needs, budgets and time lines. We also ask many questions of the client. Being the professionals, we may see potential limitations of their vision due to structural, plumbing or even just the flow of the space. It is our job to discuss all options with the client so that there are no delays and extra expense one the project is executed. Our objective is to deliver a project on time and in budget and end up with a client that loves their space for many years to come
