FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates vary depending on the type of event (ie. wedding, school event, bar mitzvah, corporate event, etc.) and the number of guests. Larger events may require additional speakers or lighting.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to first talk over the phone to introduce myself to a new customer and learn about their needs for the event they are planning or hosting. During this time I like to get an idea of the type of event it is and any music preferences. If I feel I am a good match and can fulfill their needs, then I will accept to DJ and emcee their event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I taught myself basic dj'ing in 2012 until I received official training through a recognized wedding entertainment company in the Houston area. I worked as a DJ assistant for about two years there and took the lead on events once the company owner felt I was skilled enough. I work on the Serato DJ Pro computer program. I continue to learn new things through DJ conventions/ networking and as newer technological innovations come about in the DJ world.
