FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing typically refers to the One-Man Band, shown in the videos. Please let me know if you are seeking a duet or trio, and I can provide quotes to accommodate your specific event.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you are seeking steel drum music for your event, please contact me via Thumbtack or the CCS website. We can talk about the location, length of performance, how many players, and any special details. When you have decided to book Circle City Steel via Thumbtack, an agreement is generated within the website, and the reservation will be displayed here and on the CCS website. If we book some way other than Thumbtack, I will provide a performance agreement with all of the details of the event and display (unless requested otherwise) it on the CCS website. I typically arrive about an hour before the performance, and from there let the island grooves fill the air!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in music performance from Indiana State University, with a concentration in musical composition. Every musical opportunity available since middle school (jazz band, orchestra, musical pit orchestras, marching band, solo/ensemble, world music ensembles, etc.) was my passion. I have taken lessons with Grammy winning drummer Joseph McCarthy (from Afro Bop Alliance), steel pan virtuoso Dr. Jimmy Finnie, and vocal coach Tiffany VanBoxtel.
