FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very fair and I am willing to work with the client if they have a budget to stick to. Tutoring is usually about $12.5/hour Editing and translation work is usually by the project. For example: Translating a two paragraph advertisement may be about $20. Editing a 50 page manuscript will be closer to $200, depending on difficulty and subject matter.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, I like to discuss what the project/job looks like. Is it a short translation or several pages of work? If it is a tutoring service, I want to know who the client is and what their exact needs are so that I may decide how I can best help them achieve their particular goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to being fully bilingual, I supplemented my income while I was getting my BS degree by tutoring kids of varying ages and abilities. I also worked as a peer-tutor for two years. The bulk of this work included editing and correcting research papers and major projects for college students.
