Introduction: Hello! I am new to Thumtack, but not to photography. Experience matters. My camera and I have been shooting images for many years. I also learned the specifics of the craft with two degrees in photography: a bachelor's from The Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C., and a master's from Savannah College of Art and Design. My professional work covers a broad range of genres and experiences, from teaching and travel photography to studio work, custom portraiture, creative imagery, athletes, dancers, models, events, green screens and more.
I love working with, and manipulating light. I am seasoned professional with experience using diffusers or reflectors with natural light as well as various studio and location flash systems. I have the equipment and knowledge to shape images with beautiful light.

I was photographed doing various track and field events, doing what I think of as sports illustrated style photography where it's staged photos not live action from a game or meet. It went really well, once she had set up a scene and adjusted the lighting (which did not take long) she was very efficient at getting the shots she wanted which was great for me because that meant less overall excercise. She also did an excellent job of discussing what her ideas were for photos and talking to me about how feasible they would be, and then adjusted accordingly with no qualms whatsoever. The photos were phenomenal, and probably made me look considerably more athletic than I probably am.

Margaret's work is exceptional and I really enjoyed working with her. Only a detail that I had expected after she promised and prior to sending hard copy that was overlooked. I definitely will use Margaret again.
