I've tutored test prep, writing, study skills, and the humanities since 2001. As a head writing fellow at Brown, I helped hundreds of students across a range of disciplines improve their grasp of grammar, argument, and overall essay coherence.
As a literature and writing instructor at Syracuse University, I worked with 60 students each semester, helping them learn how to plan, write, and edit papers at the college level.
I was also something of a standardized test whiz in high school and have experience working with the most popular test formats (particularly the SAT and ACT).
Most importantly, I have a compassionate and sensitive teaching style and am enthusiastic about helping people realize their potential.

Adam worked with my son to drastically improve his scores on the ACT. My son was a sharp student with good grades in school, but he really struggled to adapt to standardized tests. Adam worked with him to devise a study plan for each section of the test and also taught him how to "think" like the test. My son went from a panicked 27 to an immensely proud 33! Thank you, Adam!"

Adam's patience and intelligence are two qualities that elevate him above most tutors. He has an expert knowledge of a variety of standardised tests and has unlocked the methodology for succeeding at these tests. I have personally benefitted from Adam's ability to identify and rectify weaknesses in a piece writing, which not only resulted in a superior essay, but also taught me how to proactively avoid such pitfalls in the the future.
