FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to price myself with what the client wants. If the client wants simple headshots for social media use and doesn't want to make a big deal of it that's probably around $50-$80. The two things that I find most people don't take into account when hiring a photographer is set up and editing. Setup can take 10 minutes to make sure the lighting, pose, and clothing is absolutely perfect, that takes a keen eye watching every pixel. Editing also takes a very long time. If I come away from a shoot with 1000 photos that is potentially 10 hours of editing depending on photoshop usage.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find out exactly what the customer wants. Every person is unique in their interests and what they like. I try and make sure I have a full understanding of exactly what the client wants from my services to make sure they get exactly what they want.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
