FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have to look at the picture to see how much work is involved. That is how I make my pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My client will first send me a picture of what she/he is interested through my e-mail. I will then suggest a price for my work and what I believe the fabric and notions might cost. If my price is acceptable, we will set a time to meet at Joann's. I will then take her/his measurements and we will find a pattern(s) similar to what the gown looks like. We can purchase the fabric and notions from Joanns, but I love the fabric at Heddy's Store. I also get discounts of 40% to 50% off of everything at Joanns and 10% off fabric at Heddy's. We set a time for the first fitting and then we go on from there. It is very important that the client is very happy with my work and she knows she looks awesome in the gown.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken speed tailoring classes as well as pattern making classes.
