Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: It used to be that roofing was a respectable way to earn a living. People took pride in their work and the services they provided to their clients. These days, roofing is not a popular industry. It’s a get-rich-quick scheme for scammers and overactive sales people. At Kansas Quality Roofing, we understand and fully accept the responsibility that comes with being trusted to repair our client’s homes. Every home is treated like it is our own. The roofing industry is broken, and we are here to fix it. What drives us is the joy that comes with our desire to restore the systems that protect your home and property, and the the desire to restore your faith in the roofing industry. We believe education, professionalism, reputation, and our clients’ peace of mind comes before profit. We strive to earn the confidence of our clients and our community. Not too awfully long ago, roofing was once a respectable profession. In the world we live in today it is difficult to find a contractor that is not just experienced, but truly qualified. Throughout our experience in the industry, we quickly realized that the industry is broken. What drives us is the desire to not only restore the systems that protect your home and property, but also to restore your faith in the roofing industry. We believe education, professionalism, reputation, and our customers' peace of mind comes before profit. We strive to earn the respect and confidence of our customers and our community.

Great experience. He was constantly in contact with open line of communication. The crew worked hard and diligently having to work around weather, supply issues, etc. always keeping us in the loop. Quality work, it's in their title, and we found it to be true as well.

Horrible experience. Roofers did not even show up on the first scheduled day, and no one from the company informed me beforehand. The company showed up late for many appointments. My prior roof had open metal valleys, but the new roof was done with closed valleys, without my knowledge or consent. After the roof was done, there were problems that needed to be fixed or re-done. Instead of the company being proactive and doing proper quality control follow-up, it was left to me to find the problems and get them to come back and fix them. I was supposed to receive warranty paperwork, but it has been months now, and I have received nothing.

Johnny, You had a representative on site throughout the entire project. You were present throughout much of the project as well. We had a miscommunication on scheduling. Weather was also a big factor during the process. We wanted to schedule it for a Saturday, but I felt like you were upset with that when we spoke, so we opted to wait until after the weekend to start the project. I am very sorry that you were not informed of that change in real time. When we meet with every client before we sign contracts, we go over the roofing system in the exact same way every time and break down all of the components. When we do that, we explain that the valleys are closed with an ice and water barrier membrane liner just as the product literature shows. Throughout the entire project, throughout multiple visits from myself, and throughout weeks and even months after the project, you never had an issue with the valley method. This is well documented, as is every project that we work on. It is a normal part of the process for there to be a "punch list" after the completion of the project. Your punch list included replacing shingles that had chalk on them from a chalk line, which would have washed away over the course of time on their own; and attempting to correct an issue in your roof deck which is a structural issue beyond the scope of our work. We did all of this in as timely a manner as possible, certainly in a reasonable amount of time. We also installed a bit of concrete fiber board siding on a portion of the home between two roof slopes, free of charge, and were glad to do so to finish off our work properly. Neither one of these issues were things that stuck out to me as problematic, but we did take care of them when you took issue with them. When I was finished you smiled, shook my hand, apologized for giving us a hard time particularly our office manager, and told three of us who were present at completion that you were happy with the result. The issue with the valleys, nor any real complaints, did not arise until it was time for payment. I asked for no money up front, and only asked for the available funds once you told me you were happy with the work, as is our process every single time. We then waited over three months for your final payment to arrive from insurance and did not press for payment until you notified us that you had received the remaining balance. It was at this time that you really started in on the valley method we used and making it out to be that we did you wrong in some way. There is only one real conclusion that I can draw from that behavior pattern. Your Construction Service Agreement contains your statement of warranty. We send the invoice to the manufacturer. I know you received a "paid" invoice also. All is well there. You have never asked me for warranty paperwork, but I would be glad to make you something additional for your warranty if you would like. I apologize that you did not have an ideal experience. We help a reasonable volume of clients and almost always have a good or great end-result. We did everything we said we would do, took care of all issues that came up, we have been paid in full for our work, and you have a Lifetime Workmanship Warranty on all of the work that we performed for you as detailed in the Statement of Warranty in your Construction Service Agreement. Please contact me as soon as possible if you would like me to provide something additional as proof of your warranty. Best Regards, Kansas Quality Roofing

This was a difficult 2 stage repair to 1. roof, then 2. replacement of rotted cedar siding. #2 was completed in extremely cold weather to seal up holes created by the long developing and extensive wood rot from gutter eave to foundation discovered this summer. I am satisfied that the correct diagnosis was made and the job was done correctly to resolve this problem in the future. This young crew knows how to do roofing right to avoid costly repairs down the road like this one, which was many years in the making. Both a roof and siding repair was needed to remedy this once and for all. Many roofers are likely unaware or just don’t bother to take the steps needed prevent such issues down the road, due to the long time it can take for problems to become evident. This was 40 years in the making, starting with the first roof and continuing with the second. This crew recognized the problem immediately, knew what was needed, and even better, was willing and able to fix it once and for all at a reasonable cost. I know all this due to 1. interviewing others, 2. extensive internet research. Nuff said. I should also note, in contrast to some others I spoke with, management and staff are more knowledgeable, up-to-date, resourceful , and pleasant to work with. They take time to answer questions, explain what's needed, and instill trust in the quality of their work. These are all big pluses. I take off one point due to difficulty in making phone contact and scheduling issues at times. There are enough staff that someone should always have been able to keep me updated and informed, regardless of external circumstances. However, since this is a young crew I expect them to learn from this experience and feedback and take steps to avoid such issues in the future. I do plan to hire them again in 2017 to assist with less urgent maintenance and repairs we ran out of time and weather to complete. I'm sure they will also do these jobs competently at a reasonable cost, and improved phone contact and scheduling will allow me to give a 5 star rating at that time. They really do strive to meet the quality goals listed on their profile. Thank you Kansas Quality Roofing management and staff!
