- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$50 per session (1 hour)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I receive your Quote Request I will contact you within 3 hours. Typically, I like to meet with the parent(s) and the child then administer a "Reading Assessment". After the "Assessment," I will discuss with the parent(s) their child's behavior in school and at home, reading and math abilities, attitude in general concerning school, and what they think the problem seems to be, if any. I have had approximately a third of my students that were 4, 5, and 6 years old and the parents only wanted their child(ren) to have a head start with reading and school. After we discuss the "Assessment," I will schedule the tutoring sessions a minimum of twice a week. More often if the parent(s) desire to do so.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Reading Therapist in the Phono-Graphix method. I have successfully taught reading and comprehension skills to students as young as 4 years old and up to 40 years old since 2001. I worked at a Charter School from 2017 to 2021.
