Thumbtack customers beware of A&J Masonry and Construction and A&J Construction. My husband and I hired Andre to complete some brick pillars a walkway and two yard drains. Against my husband's recommendation I hired Andre to do the job. From the first day, I noticed the true craftsman in brick Masonry was his co-worker Stephen (Brick Brothers). Andre talked and smoked a lot on the job. I was always very cordial to these guys, giving them ice cold Lemonade and water while working in the hot sun. After the job was complete, I paid Andre and he had to come back twice to fix the yard drain (Because it was never done correct in the first place). My husband had to do the one closest to the house, because he knew he could do it better than Andre. I explained to Andre my project was a collaborative project between him and the builder and I would need some fine tweaking of the columns to complete the project. When I called Andre to fix some cracks in the columns he never answered his phone, he text me back and said his job was complete and he no longer owes me anything! Please beware of this guy, he promises 100% satisfaction in the beginning but after he is paid, your job is history, he does not answer his phone! If you need an aesthetically pleasing quality Mason, hire Brick Brothers (Stephen), Wish I did!
