Taylor I. Smith Music

Introduction: Taylor I. Smith is an actively performing musician, composer, songwriter and educator based in New Orleans, LA and Little Rock, AR. He is the bandleader/upright bassist/vocalist for New Orleans band Taylor Smith & The Roamin' Jasmine. In addition to playing weekly gigs around New Orleans, Taylor has brought the band on five successful European tours, one tour of Alaska and a tour of Australia. The band is available for all sorts of private events and can reconfigure from a bass and guitar duo to a full 6 piece jazz band with drums and horns. As a composer, Taylor has experience in scoring original music for live theater productions, radio shows and films. Taylor also offers individual private instruction on bass, guitar, beginning trombone, composition, songwriting and music theory. I love sharing my passion for music with other people and seeing the positive effects it has on audiences, clients and students. Music is such a great way to bring together people from different cultures and places.
