FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally charge $50 an hour for lessons. I prefer doing 1 hour lessons but also do $30 for half an hour. These are my preferred rates, but if someone is interested in lessons I am always open to talking about your individual circumstances and how I can accommodate. As a professional musician, I know what it's like to have hard times financially, so I'm open to figuring out a situation that will work for you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am currently offering a free first lesson, which I would highly recommend you take me up on! In my formative years I've experienced a lot of different teaching methods and I prefer to base our lessons off of each individual student as I've found that different things work for different people. So I teach differently on a case by case bases
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied music for 15 years or so: I played classical violin for 8 years, trumpet for 2 years, and guitar and bass for 12 years or so. I have a degree in music performance from Portland State University and have been taking music lessons on different instruments for the majority of my life.
