FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have an hourly rate on which I base my estimates. However, every job is different in regards to resources, permitting, insurance, rentals, materials and outsourcing. I am very fair and quote every job according to its specs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The nature of my business is so customized that meeting face to face is almost always the best first step. Meeting you allows me to get a feel for your personal aesthetic and desires so I can better create the environment or mural that best serves you. From there, we can lay out the terms of our agreement so we know we are on the same page and understand our responsibilities. THEN than magic starts!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I excel in the roles of Creative Director and Production Manager due to the scope of my work experience. I have worked as an artist, muralist, sculptor and scenic painter, as well as a stage, lighting, production, event and interior designer. My commercial work has provided the opportunity to play with a great scale of dimensions as well to study the translation of three dimensional spaces into two dimensional ideas and vice versa. I am an internationally exhibited and collected artist. I earned my BA from Scripps College in Claremont, California, where, along with an education in contemporary art practice, I developed a love of western sociology and history. I studied figurative painting at the Slade School of Fine Arts, University College London. While abroad, I began my personal studies of architecture and urban planning. Upon graduation, I was awarded for my extensive library featuring readings on spatial theory, architecture, stage design, photography, art, urban planning and the philosophy of the effect of structures on the human condition. I acquired additional knowledge through studies of photography and architecture at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena.
