FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For proofreading/editing assignments, I prefer to charge by the hour and give the client an approximation up front for how long the job is likely to take. However, I can also break down the costs per word if desired. For screenplay assignments, I tend to charge a flat rate after discussing the assignment in detail with the client beforehand. When it comes to screenwriting, there may be multiple steps involved in completing the project, and I want the client to be 100% satisfied with the time that they are paying for as well as the final product.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication is key. I listen to what the client is looking for and begin a dialogue to see if I can provide the exact services that they require.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
MFA, Screenwriting; over three years experience as a professional story analyst; two years experience as a writing consultant for film directing duo, The Vicious Brothers; webmaster and head writer for a creative writing blog; cover-to-cover familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style
