Introduction: I have a very unorthodox method of teaching. Rather than start with theory and fundamentals, I start with showing actual technique, playing style shaping, and learning to play material relevant to the interests of the student. Learning to play an instrument takes a lot of time, practice, and patience. Lack of short term improvement can cause a student to lose interest in playing because it can make them feel as though they aren't learning anything. My teaching style keeps the student interactive with the guitar and the technical informations comes with new playing material. I teach how to play guitar first, and how to talk about playing music second. I am very passionate about music. For me, playing guitar is like going to church. What I enjoy most is interacting with other people interested in music and playing guitar. It's all about the love of music for me. If I can help someone acquire a passion for music like I have, and give them the creative emotional outlet that music has given me, then I've successfully done what I've set out to do when giving guitar lessons or performing.
