Duncan created a masterpiece in my living room. Guests are always intrigued solving the deep mysteries within and marvel at its visually stunning flow. Duncan has created a mural that I love in the sunlight of morning or in the shadows of dusk. I will cherish his artistic vision till the day I die. His gift is rare, his work will stand the test of time and he is both a true artist and a gentleman. I cannot put a value on the satisfaction, the joy in the mural’s mysterious ever vibrant beauty and intellectual construction. James Declan Tobin

The works of Duncan Mischo are iconic to say the least, I knew I had to commission him. His artistic vision is extremely focused and his works as a whole are genuinely reflective of his passionate yet painstakingly meticulous craftsmanship. The multidimensional nature of the painting I received is an optical dreamscape, with dazzling intricate detail. Duncan is also an extremely up-beat professional as well, his responsiveness and delivery were on point - he doesn't miss a beat! In addition to his talent, I have also been following him via social media and have witnessed process and his tireless drive. Mark my words: A MISCHO PAINTING IS A WISE INVESTMENT. They're only going to be in higher and higher demand. I will be commissioning him to paint murals in my home in the future!

We commissioned Duncan for a custom portrait of myself this Christmas. We were most impressed with his contemporary style and range of abilities. Color was very important to us, and Duncan walked us through every step. He finished the project fast, was professional, and always made himself available to us. Anyone would be lucky to work with Duncan, we will certainly be calling him again next year!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer a full range of pricing depending on the complexity and size of the project. From local small businesses to corporate offices, Duncan Mischo murals and commissioned artwork can be tailored for any budget.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When working with new clients, we strongly encourage holding at least one initial discussion on location. We make ourselves available to clients during normal business hours over the phone, and any time via email for extended discussion about your project. After the specificities of the project have been agreed upon there is a sketching period, which normally last one week, followed by the installation. The mural installation traditionally takes one week, with larger projects running up to two. For smaller locations there is a one day option, as well.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was educated at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, class of 2011. Graduating with a fine arts degree, I was trained in traditional painting, contemporary painting, ceramics, woodworking, sculpture, and silk screening, focusing on interdisciplinary application. Since graduation I have been aesthetically involved in dozens of local businesses, including everything from from hanging a small painting to expansive 35ft murals. In the summer of 2014, the Duncan Mischo team began tenure as the CEO and creative director of a small women's wear boutique on Boylston St. in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston. Over our year long engagement we navigated all sides of creative contracting, being both contracted ourselves, and contracting other.
